Verse 24 through 26 highlight something I missed in my early Christian life. It took me awhile to realize the promise of Jesus was even earlier than the prophetic books of the Old Testament. As early as Moses, Abraham — and even Adam, God was promising to send His Son to earth. It wasn’t a last-minute effort; it was a well thought out plan. From the moment Adam sinned (and even before) and passed death to the rest of us, God had the perfect remedy. To me, that’s comforting.
