Don’t worry, just go – and tell!

Acts 1: 1-11

Before He returns to Heaven, Jesus is asked when He might restore the Kingdom of Israel. When are you coming back? It’s a question that Christians have been asking ever since. Jesus says, don’t worry, just go — and tell! I heard a pastor say recently that every time Jesus is asked about the Second Coming, Jesus always points people back to evangelism. I’m not sure if that’s true or not. I haven’t looked up every instance He is asked about it. But it seems like something Jesus would do. We focus a lot of energy on the timing of the Second Coming, even though we can’t do much about it. (I believe entire denominations have been split over the issue.)

In fact, according to Scripture, there’s only one thing we can do about the timing of the Second Coming. Share the Gospel. Jesus says He won’t return until the Gospel has been preached to all nations.

We can speculate all we want about when the End Times will be, but in the end, Jesus would rather us focus on telling people about Him and how they can know Him. That needs to be our primary focus.

AMEN*****to your words Tobin. Whenever we go to be with the lord we just need to take as many people with us or prepare them to be ready when their time comes or when our Lord comes.
