Toward the end of the passage about the Rich Young Ruler, Jesus has to present the ruler with a pretty big ask — He asks him to give up everything he owns and follow Jesus for the sake of His Kingdom. But notice that Jesus looks at the Rich Young Ruler loviongly. Jesus reminds us that even though He had to deliver harsh truth the Gospel it should be done lonvingly. Is there someone you need to be honest with? Don’t forget, when you speak the truth in love, you’ve got to be truthful and loving.
