Nothing is more important for us to remember as we near Easter then Jesus has the power to overcome death. He showed us this in this passage, raising a young child from the grave. If Jesus can even conquer death then what can’t he do? Nothing. He has ultimate power over everything. That gives me comfort. It reminds me that if we rest in His promises and His care, He can control all of the little details that always seem to be swirling around me.
He who is Lord over death is Lord over me.
