When God changes a life, that person will tell anyone who listens. This demonac had his life transformed by Jesus. No telling how loing this guy had been tormented by demons. But what Jesus released him from their bondage, he told others about what had happened. The Bible says those he told “were amazed.”
Our testimoinies, no matter if they are that dramatic or not, can have that impact on others. We need to be ready to tell others how God has changed our lives. It’s not just the story of our salvation either. It’s the story of how God has gotten us through all sorts of battles in our lives. How has God helped you deal with a bad marriage? How has God helped you heal after a broken relationship? How has He helped you through financial difficulties? We need to be prepared to tell those stories over and over again. When Jesus says we are His witnesses, that’s what he means. Witnesses tell others what they’ve seen, heard, and experienced. Jesus wants you to be His witnesses, telling others about your encounters with Him.
